Job Summary
Join a caring team supporting Children and Young People in a brand‑new 8‑bed High Intensity Environment/PICU at Alumhurst Road, Bournemouth. The role involves caring for young people aged 13‑18 experiencing complex mental health, delivering emotional support, and facilitating structured activities in a safe environment.
Responsibilities
* Provide exceptional care and emotional support to young people aged 13‑18.
* Assist with organised activities and maintain a safe, supportive environment.
* Record patient observations accurately and enter data into the RiO patient records computer system.
* Report complaints from young people, families and carers to trained staff on duty.
* Carry out additional duties as requested by the nurse in charge.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Previous experience in healthcare or a similar supportive setting (desirable).
* Strong communication skills and compassion.
* Experience working in a busy or high‑paced environment.
* Successful completion of the Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression course (required).
* Eligibility for sponsorship within the UK (non‑sponsoring candidates will not be considered).
Shift Patterns
* Early: 07:00 – 15:00
* Late: 12:00 – 20:00
* Twilight: 16:00 – 00:00
* Nights (enhanced pay): 19:30 – 07:30
* Long days: 07:00 – 20:00
Working Pattern
Full‑time (minimum 22.5 hours per week for part‑time). Flexible shifts including weekends and nights with enhanced pay.

Alumhurst Road, Bournemouth, BH4 8EP. Seastone, Alumhurst Road.
Pay
£24,625 to £25,674 per annum (Band 3).

Additional Information
