Job Title: Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator (SENDCo)

About the Role
We are working with a welcoming, inclusive primary school where every child is known, valued, and supported to achieve their full potential. We are seeking a committed and compassionate SENDco to lead and further develop our SEND provision, ensuring high-quality support and positive outcomes for pupils with additional needs.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced SENDCo or an aspiring leader with a strong commitment to inclusive practice and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the school’s SEND provision in line with the SEND code of practice
* Identify, assess, and support pupils with SEND, ensuring individual needs are met
* Develop and review EHCPs and provision maps
* Work closely with class teachers to promote inclusive, high-quality teaching
* Liaise effectively with parents/carers, external agencies, and professionals
* Monitor and evaluate the impact of SEND interventions and provision
* Ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance with statutory requirements
* Contribute to whole-school improvement and safeguarding practices
The Successful Candidate Will:
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Have a strong understanding of SEND legislation and inclusive practice
* Demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills
* Be empathetic, reflective, and passionate about your role
* Be able to work collaboratively as part of a supportive leadership team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
