Salary: £30,(Apply online only) – £38,(Apply online only) DOE + Overtime + Benefits
Hours: Full-Time (40 hours per week, Monday–Friday)
About the Role
We are recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Workshop Engineer to join a well-established and growing engineering business.
In this role, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a range of materials handling equipment and plant machinery within a busy workshop environment. You will work as part of a skilled engineering team and report directly to the Workshop Manager.
This is a hands-on workshop-based role offering stability, technical variety, and opportunities for ongoing development within a supportive, family-oriented business.
Key Responsibilities
Service, maintain, and repair materials handling and powered access equipment
Diagnose faults and carry out mechanical and electrical repairs
Replace or repair faulty components as required
Prepare equipment for customer delivery and inspections
Complete planned maintenance and workshop repair tasks efficiently
Work closely with the Workshop Manager & Service Team to prioritise and complete workloads
Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in line with Health & Safety regulations
Complete relevant job documentation and adhere to company procedures
Support continuous improvement and maintain a clean, safe workshop environment
Continuously develop your technical skills through training and hands-on experience
About You
Experience working as a Workshop Engineer, Plant Engineer, Forklift Engineer, or similar role
Multi-skilled with strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding abilities
Experience working on materials handling equipment, forklifts, plant, or powered access equipment
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication and organisational skills
Able to work to deadlines while maintaining high standards
Committed to Health & Safety compliance
