Planner 350/ 400 per shift NW London
The Company
A recognisable groundworks/civils subcontractor that cover projects across the UK. They cover all sectors from Commercial, Residential, Energy and Defence in both public and private sectors. They have a current turnover of circa 80m and work on schemes up to 15m. This company is highly regarded in the construction industry where much of their work is undertaken in the public and private sectors.
The Role
The role is for an intermediate planner or someone with a good period of site experience at an engineering or site management level, who has at least got some experience with monitoring site progress for a concrete frame or groundworks contractor and can get up to speed rapidly. If they are site based without project planning software skills then they should have done at least 5 years on site in an engineering or site management role that involves work on the site not pure office work.
* CAD and 3D CAD skills are very useful.
* Excellent written and spoken English skills so they can write coherent method statements and discuss tenders with Clients.
* Good knowledge of Powerpoint for presentations, Excel and Word.
* Knowledge of Powerproject for presentations to clients.
* Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage their time efficiently when faced with multiple tasks,
* Flexibility in working ours when deadlines are required
* Working in a tendering environment
About the requirements:
* Must be degree qualified
* Must have relevant real experience/exposure to the civil engineering market (RC Frame/Groundworks)
* Ideally Planning experience or relevant Site Management experience
* Technically competent in dealing with all aspects of site duties.
