Job Title: Clinical Psychologist
Location: Closeburn House School, Dumfriesshire, DG3 5HP
Hours: 15 hours per week, 08.30am - 4.30pm (2 days a week)
Contract: Permanent, 52 weeks
Salary: £51,150 – £58,000 pro rata, DOE

Responsibilities

* Deliver psychological assessment and intervention to pupils who may have experienced developmental trauma, be neurodivergent or have SEMH needs.
* Hold a psychological caseload with full support from a designated clinical supervisor and site lead.
* Contribute to school development, staff training and consultation as required.
* Work collaboratively within the education team and adhere to the OFG Psychological Practice Ways of Working.
* Assist in developing an enhanced psychological therapy offer by supporting apprentices, students and therapy assistants.
* Engage in research projects, special interest groups and participate in a wider psychological therapy network for training and development.


Qualifications

* Registered with the HCPC.
* Doctoral level degree in Clinical/Counselling/Forensic/Educational Psychology (or equivalent if qualified prior to introduction of relevant Doctorate).
* Relevant experience in related settings or with related client groups.
* Experience of effective multi-disciplinary working, communicating with families/relatives and carers, and working across different systems within an organisation.
* Experience of assessment, planning, intervention and review; experience using consultation as a service delivery method.
* Adequate competence in core areas of psychological practice, meets HCPC standards; knowledge of trauma-informed practice and neuro-diversity.
* Ability to develop formulations, training delivery, and to write coherent clinical records and reports.
* Excellent communication and IT skills; ability to work with a range of professionals; ongoing CPD.
* Ability to travel on company business; full driving licence and access to a car.
* Desirable: experience with specific client groups or settings; supervision experience; knowledge of relevant legislation and post-qualification training.
