Role – 2nd Line Support Engineer Location – Whiteley Start – ASAP Salary - £30,000 to £40,000 The Role We're working with a growing Managed Service Provider based in Whiteley who are seeking a talented 2nd Line Support Engineer to join their expanding team. This is a full-time, on-site role (5 days per week), with regular travel to customer sites across Hampshire and Sussex (a company van is provided for these visits). Day-to-day, you'll be responsible for: Providing 2nd Line support across a wide range of Microsoft technologies. Delivering excellent customer service both remotely and on-site. Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving escalated technical issues. Supporting project delivery and system upgrades. Spotting opportunities to add value for clients, helping strengthen customer relationships. The Person We're looking for an experienced 2nd Line Engineer who can combine technical knowledge with great communication skills. You'll be just as comfortable supporting clients remotely as you are working on-site, always delivering with professionalism and a customer-first approach. Key skills and experience include: Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies: Windows Server & Windows 10/11 Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams) Azure AD & Azure services Intune & Endpoint Manager Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP Hyper-V (experience with VMware would also be beneficial) Experience providing 2nd Line support in an MSP or similar environment. A full UK driving licence (essential for client visits). Excellent communication skills – able to build rapport and explain technical issues clearly. A commercial mindset – able to spot opportunities to add value and support business growth.
