We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Panel Wirer for our client. This position involves assembling and wiring electrical control panels in line with technical specifications and industry standards. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring high-quality electrical assemblies while maintaining safety and efficiency within the workplace.
Key Responsibilities
* Interpret and work from technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
* Review parts lists and verify measurements and specifications prior to assembly.
* Assemble electrical components accurately and securely within control panels.
* Wire components in accordance with approved wiring schematics.
* Inspect completed assemblies to ensure compliance with quality standards.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot faults, carrying out repairs where necessary.
* Perform routine checks and assist with preventative maintenance activities.
* Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
* Follow all company and industry health and safety regulations.
* Use materials and resources efficiently to minimise waste.
Skills and Experience
* Previous experience in panel wiring or electrical assembly (preferred).
* Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and schematics.
* Proficient in the use of hand tools and relevant workshop equipment.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
* Good manual dexterity and hand–eye coordination.
* Ability to carry out repetitive tasks while standing or sitting for extended periods.
* Knowledge of industrial manufacturing and quality control processes.
* Good eyesight, including the ability to distinguish between colours.
* Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to work.
