The Role

As a Scientist within the R&D function, you’ll take a hands-on role in designing, optimising, and validating experimental systems and assays that power their discovery engine. You’ll work closely with biologists, bioinformaticians, and engineers, contributing to high-impact projects that bridge wet-lab innovation with computational biology.

Key responsibilities include:

* Designing and executing experiments across molecular biology, biochemistry, and/or cell-based systems.
* Developing, optimising, and scaling assays for discovery and translational applications.
* Analysing, interpreting, and presenting data to project leads and cross-functional stakeholders.
* Collaborating with computational teams to integrate biological and data-driven insights.
* Evaluating emerging technologies for inclusion in future workflows.
* Contributing to publications, patents, and presentations showcasing scientific innovation.


About You

Education:

PhD (or MSc with equivalent experience) in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field.

Experience:

* Proven experience in assay development, experimental design, and method validation.
* Hands-on expertise in one or more of: NGS, proteomics, CRISPR, molecular cloning, cell culture, or high-throughput screening.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to experimental rigour.
* Prior industry or biotech startup experience is highly advantageous.
