Management Accountant
Location: Swindon (3–4 days office-based, with hybrid flexibility after probation)
Salary: £40,000k (neg)

Note: Occasional weekend work may be required to meet key reporting deadlines
About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant to take ownership of the full management accounts function in a growing, internationally connected organisation. Working closely with colleagues across the UK and Europe, as well as teams based globally, you’ll be responsible for delivering accurate financial information, strengthening controls, and supporting senior stakeholders with insight-driven analysis.
The role requires a proactive individual who is confident managing month-end processes, handling external stakeholders, and working independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Management Accounts & Reporting
* Produce detailed monthly management accounts and reporting packs for senior leadership.
* Prepare and reconcile balance sheet schedules.
* Oversee fixed asset registers, additions, disposals, and depreciation.
Financial Operations
* Maintain an accurate general ledger and ensure all postings are fully reconciled.
* Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
* Handle online banking processes, including payments and reconciliations.
* Calculate and process royalty payments in line with international agreements.
Tax & Compliance
* Prepare and submit monthly VAT returns.
* Assist with quarterly royalty reporting.
* Support wider financial compliance and HMRC requirements.
Audit & External Stakeholder Management
* Act as a key point of contact during annual audits.
* Liaise with banks and other external bodies to support reporting and compliance.
Global Collaboration
* Work with overseas finance teams to ensure consistent reporting and alignment of processes.
Additional Areas of Contribution
* Support budgeting and forecasting cycles.
* Provide cost analysis, margin reviews, and variance reporting.
* Assist with cash flow forecasting and monitoring.
* Contribute to finance system improvements and process automation initiatives.
* Ensure all reporting adheres to UK GAAP/IFRS.
* Deliver ad hoc analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Skills & Experience
Qualifications
* ACCA, CIMA, or ACA qualified/part-qualified, QBE/or equivalent experience.
Technical Expertise
* Solid experience with accounting/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Sage 200, Oracle).
* Advanced Excel ability (pivot tables, lookups, macros).
* Strong understanding of UK GAAP/IFRS.
Experience
* Proven background in management accounting, ideally within a manufacturing or product-based environment.
* Experience working with international teams is advantageous.
