Our client is a well-renowned educational organisation based in the north of Cambridge, which is seeking a PR, Content and Communications Executive to join the team of 8 on a full-time permanent basis. This position offers hybrid working, with 3 days in the office and 2 working remotely each week. The Role - PR, Content and Communications Executive Reporting to the Marketing Director, you’ll focus on the delivery of the PR, content and communications strategies, with responsibilities including:
* Managing outreach with local, regional and national media, handling press enquiries, contact databases, and any crisis communications.
* Creating and managing a library of literature and case studies from former students and employers including testimonials, videos and photos.
* Writing content for press releases, social media channels, websites, and other print and digital communications.
* Taking photographs and videos for promotional purposes and publicity, managing the content for social media and other channels.
* Coordinating the production of internal and external communications materials like posters, leaflets and other publications.
* Assisting with the delivery of events including open days and awards evenings.
Requirements - PR, Content and Communications Executive
* At least 2-3 years of experience in a similar position with exposure to PR, content writing and corporate communications.
* An interest in or basic skills with a camera for photos and video content.
* Excellent communication skills, able to work closely with internal teams, external media and journalists, as well as autonomously.
* Ideally a degree in PR, marketing or communications, but relevant experience is more important.
* Ideally a background in the education, not-for-profit or charity sectors, but all industries considered.
Location This position is hybrid, working 3 days in the office and 2 remote per week. Suitable commutable locations include Cambridge, Ely, Newmarket, Bury St Edmunds, Milton, Waterbeach, Sawston, Saffron Walden, Duxford, Huntingdon, Peterborough, and wider areas of Cambridgeshire.
