Head of Inclusion Services
Soulbury Scale Point 29–32 (plus 3 SPAs) - £78,821- £82,563 (£82,653-£86,577)
This critical role is within the Education and Inclusion Services Directorate, supporting 111 schools, including 52 learning support classes, 4 special schools, and 2 pupil referral units.
As a senior management team member, you will lead strategic initiatives to meet the diverse needs of learners, schools, and communities.
The Access and Inclusion Service employs 178 staff dedicated to fulfilling the ALN Act (2018) requirements and ensuring effective ALN provision. The service is committed to developing inclusive practices and ensuring sufficiency in provision, with significant capital projects planned, including a new £42M special school opening in September 2026 and four new learning support classes in September 2025.
Your leadership will focus on adapting services to future challenges and maintaining high performance. During the 2023 Estyn inspection, the service was praised for strong leadership and support for ALN. We seek an innovative leader to advance these achievements and contribute to strategic development.
