About the Role
3D Recruit is working in partnership with Northamptonshire Children’s Trust to recruit an experienced Qualified Social Worker to join the Children in Care Court Team. This team provides oversight for all children in care across Northamptonshire, including those subject to legal proceedings and children with long-term care plans.
This is a fast-paced and demanding role, focused on achieving positive and sustainable outcomes for children and young people. You will play a key role in building meaningful relationships with children, families, and carers, ensuring high-quality care planning and effective future planning for every child.
Key Responsibilities

Hold responsibility for children in care, including those involved in court proceedings
*
Complete clear, timely, and accurate assessments and care plans
*
Prepare high-quality reports and attend court as required
*
Coordinate and contribute to multi-agency planning and interventions
*
Build and maintain positive, trusting relationships with children, families, and carers
*
Work collaboratively with colleagues in the Leaving Care Service and external partners
*
Maintain high standards of case recording in line with statutory and local requirements
Essential Requirements
*
Degree or Masters in Social Work
*
Social Work England registration
*
Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience within children’s services
*
Demonstrable experience working with Children in Care and/or court work
*
Strong understanding of children’s legislation, care planning, and court processes
*
Ability to work effectively in a busy, fast-paced statutory environment
*
