About the Job
Games Workshop has an exciting opportunity for a Group Financial Accountant. We're looking for someone who can translate complex financial information into easily understandable reporting.
We're looking for someone passionate about delivering an efficient and effective accounting service, as you'll be part of a team responsible for completing the group consolidation and preparing management accounts. You'll ensure the annual statutory reporting and the interim reporting to the stock exchange is always accurate and delivered to the agreed plan. You'll also ensure accounts are filed for all statutory entities.
Uncompromising and diligent in your approach, we'll rely on you to provide clarity to the business on accounting technical issues as you review group wide submissions. You'll build strong working relationships as you create reports for a range of people, including the senior management team. You'll be proficient in conveying financial information clearly and concisely to non-financial stakeholders.
Demonstrating a strong commitment to consistency with a keen eye for detail, you'll review and interrogate financial information that is reported to our group board and shareholders. You'll ensure that all tasks are completed with the highest levels of accuracy and reliability.
We're looking for someone who understands that producing accurate financial information within tight deadlines in an evolving environment requires excellent organisation skills and strong prioritisation instincts.
If you possess a can‑do attitude and a flexible approach when dealing with conflicting priorities, combined with great technical knowledge, this could be the role for you.
You'll be a qualified accountant with an in-depth understanding of technical accountancy, having previously worked within practice or a FTSE organisation.
