Care & Support Worker

Location: 39 Silverbirch Road, Erdington B24

Hours: 28-hours per week

Salary: £12.25 per hour

New Outlook has been providing housing and care services to people with sensory impairment across the West Midlands for over 170 years.

39 Silverbirch Road is a CQC registered property that provides 24-hour specialist care and support to vulnerable adults aged 18-65 with a sensory impairment, and other complex needs.

A position has opened for an experienced Care & Support Worker. We are looking for someone with lots of energy and a can-do attitude, someone who can interact well with service users, has good communication skills both verbal and written, has a caring nature and good work ethic, and works well as part of a team or lone working.

The ideal person would need to have at least 2 year's previous experience in a care/support worker role; in providing personal care and administering medication. Duties include assisting with activities, shopping and meal preparation, person-centred planning, maintaining records and documentation, and domestic tasks where required. You will need to be flexible, caring, and show a genuine willingness to undertake further training as required.

There is a 7-day rolling rota in place and you will be required to work shifts (early shift times 7am-2pm, and late shift times 2pm-9pm), on weekdays, weekends, and Bank Holidays, where appropriate.

Please note, successful applicants must be able to work 28-hours per week, without visa restrictions, and will be required to provide enhanced DBS clearance, together with evidence of their Right to Work in the UK.
