Duties
* Provides technical advice regarding information systems security efforts, compliance and audit efforts for the Government Accountability Office (GAO), Federal Information System Controls Audit Manual (FISCAM) initiative for the agency.
* Develops and performs independent and objective assessments, audits, reviews and evaluations of enterprise information systems and FISCAM information systems internal controls.
* Reviews, certifies and advises on the correction of FISCAM controls in accordance with FISCAM and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) standards.
* Formulates and maintains sustainment plans for recurring and ongoing agency information systems FISCAM controls.
* Identifies IT security program implications of new technologies or technology upgrades. Evaluates cost benefit, economic and risk analysis in security decision making processes.
* Analyzes security strategies and development efforts to ensure and recommend approach and validate baseline security safeguards are installed.
* Provides integration of enterprise security programs, compliance efforts and GAO FISCAM audit requirements.
