Boden Group are proud to be working exclusively with a respected facilities management provider to recruit a Deputy Contracts Manager to support delivery across a multi-site education PFI portfolio in the Midlands.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven FM professional with strong leadership, compliance, and operational skills to step into a key management role.
The Role
Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you’ll work closely with the engineering team and wider operational staff to ensure the successful delivery of contractual obligations across a network of school sites. Responsibilities include:
* Taking full ownership of hard FM service delivery across all sites
* Acting as point of escalation and providing on-call support when needed
* Supporting CPDs, performance appraisals, and HR matters for the maintenance team
* Leading on training initiatives and ensuring full staff competence
* Liaising with Maintenance Managers and reporting monthly on contract performance
* Attending regular client meetings and site visits
* Prioritising both your own workload and that of senior managers
* Collaborating closely with the wider contract management team to drive improvements
* Maintaining high levels of compliance and H&S standards
* Supporting with CAFM and IT systems to track maintenance performance
What We’re Looking For
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a management or supervisory FM role
* Previous technical training and hands-on experience in M&E is preffered
* Confident in managing people, building relationships, and driving team performance
* Strong organisational, planning, and communication skills
* Familiarity with PFI contract frameworks and delivery models
* Excellent understanding of Health & Safety legislation (formal training desirable)
* Proficiency in IT systems and CAFM platforms
