We’re working with a welcoming secondary school in BS25 that’s looking for a Science Teacher to join them from January through to Easter. This is a fantastic opportunity to teach in a school with a really supportive Science department, strong routines, and a team that works collaboratively and looks after each other.
Whether you’re an ECT wanting to build confidence in a settled setting, or an experienced teacher looking for a focused, well-run short-term role, this one’s got all the right ingredients.
The Role
You’ll be teaching Science across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging lessons and becoming part of a department that values teamwork and consistency.
Your day-to-day will include:
1. Teaching Science lessons across KS3–KS4
2. Following shared schemes of work and department plans
3. Creating a calm, positive learning environment
4. Managing behaviour with clear, established systems
5. Supporting pupils’ understanding across Biology, Chemistry and Physics
6. Working closely with a friendly, experienced Science team
This is a great chance to focus on teaching, without unnecessary pressure or chaos.
Who We’re Looking For
7. A qualified Science Teacher (ECTs very welcome)
8. Confident teaching KS3 and KS4 Science
9. A calm, professional approach to behaviour management
10. Someone who enjoys working as part of a team
11. Availability from January until Easter
