An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join a diverse and fast-paced group of trading companies operating across multiple sectors. Based in Guisborough, this role offers flexibility in hours (full or part-time) and the chance to work in a dynamic finance team supporting multiple business entities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Registering and matching purchase invoices in Sage
2. Resolving invoice queries efficiently
3. Entering payments into the company banking system
4. Performing monthly purchase statement reconciliations
5. Sending payment remittances to suppliers
6. Setting up new supplier and customer accounts in Sage
7. Maintaining organised and up-to-date filing systems
8. Processing weekly and monthly payrolls (PAYE and CIS subcontractors)
9. Calculating wages, deductions, and statutory payments
10. Submitting Real Time Information (RTI) to HMRC
11. Managing pension contributions and auto-enrolment
12. Reconciling credit cards and overseeing the accounts inbox
13. Collating monthly payment runs and processing supplier payments
14. Conducting regular bank reconciliations
15. Supporting the Financial Lead with ad hoc duties as required
What We’re Looking For:
16. Strong attention to detail
17. Excellent communication skills and professional telephone manner
18. Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks
19. Prior experience using
Sage Accounts and Excel is highly desirable
20. Payroll experience including CIS is an advantage
