What you’ll do on a typical day:
Reporting to the Shift Manager, you will be expected to plan, manage and adjust staffing levels to meet operational requirements and customer priorities
* Communicate to shift / team on daily tasks, changes to working procedures, H&S, Audit etc
* Complete shift handovers accurately with oncoming / off going Team Leaders & Shift Manager
* Update your team on required targets / rates, and accuracy checks, providing training and feedback to colleagues, taking action on poor performance where required
* Overseeing the unloading of inbound freight and organising the pallet pick of goods going out
* Conduct HR related tasks such as Return to Works, Incident Reporting, Absence Management via T&A.
What you need to succeed at GXO:
Experience in leading a team within a fast-paced operation of FMCG, from goods in, to despatch
* Experience of working to agreed targets and managing a small team
* Well-versed in warehouse management systems
* Good working knowledge of current health & safety and compliance legislation
