Position Overview
Fixed term, 6 months. Registered Specialist Speech and Language Therapist with expertise in assessment and management of children and young people with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) will develop high‑quality brain‑injury related speech and language therapy provision at the Cambridge Centre for Paediatric Neuropsychological Rehabilitation within CPFT and the wider region.
Responsibilities
* Manage a small caseload of children/young people with acquired brain injury undergoing neuropsychological assessment and/or rehabilitation, delivering specialist SLT interventions.
* Lead by example, demonstrating a commitment to client‑focused and evidence‑based practice in all activities.
* Work as a member of an interdisciplinary team, coordinating care with other professionals and clients as required.
* Contribute to the provision of specialist assessments and interventions addressing the cognitive, social, emotional and physical needs of children and young people with non‑progressive brain injury referred from local, regional, national and international sources.
Qualifications
Registered Specialist Speech and Language Therapist with proven expertise in assessment and management of children and young people with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI).
