About the role
Within our Compliance Technology & Services team in Birmingham or London we are looking for an individual with an interest in developing their experience in indirect tax compliance and developing a career within an established team.
Successful applicants will also have the opportunity to play an integral role in delivering a best in class On-boarding includes the implementation of ITX Edge, PwC's industry leading VAT reporting technology
This role provides the successful candidate with an unparalleled opportunity to build global VAT technical skills, global Indirect Tax compliance awareness and the experience of working on complex and challenging assignments. This is an excellent platform for furthering your career within Indirect Tax and opportunities for training are available.
What your day will look like
1. Dealing with client transactional reporting data and processing into our Indirect Tax Technologies
2. Running and reviewing the client specific exception reports produced by the technology and performing initial review of VAT filings for our clients.
3. With Manager support, co-ordinating timetables and contractual scope to ensure delivery against compliance obligations
4. Indirect Tax technical and accounting review of draft returns and client specific exception reports
5. Selecting specific transactions for further review
6. Liaising/managing the appropriate client personnel
7. Keeping up to date with legislation and practical changes which impact VAT compliance
8. Monitoring relevant tax legislation and ensuring VAT processes accommodate technical requirements.
This role is for you if
9. Good VAT technical knowledge.
10. EMEA VAT knowledge and experience, industry experience preferred but not necessary
11. Previous experience in a VAT related role.
12. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
13. Excellent self-organisational skills.
14. Ambition and a strong desire to succeed.
15. A commitment to team working.
16. An ability to work within a strict timetable and deadlines.
