Sales Director
Our client, a global organization, is seeking a seasoned Sales Director with over 10 years of proven experience in the art world, specifically in selling art to high net worth individuals.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with renowned artists and clients worldwide.
Main Focus of the Role:
1. Plan and execute sales of artwork from the company's global inventory, focusing primarily on Asian clients active in the UK market.
2. Maintain and develop existing client relationships established through engagement with the company.
3. Create sales opportunities through company exhibitions and art fairs in London.
4. Expand the client base by identifying and targeting UK and European art buyers.
5. Identify and negotiate consignment opportunities.
6. Utilize contacts to promote company exhibitions.
7. Participate in client and public activities in the UK and attend art fairs worldwide as required.
8. Conduct sales and market research, track artwork prices, and advise clients on the art market.
9. Respond to sales-related inquiries regarding company artists, artworks, and exhibitions.
10. Collaborate with the lead Senior Director in London and the sales team both locally and internationally.
Artist Liaison:
Continue managing relationships between artists and the company.
Administrative Responsibilities:
Maintain records of all pre-approved business expenses and coordinate incoming and outgoing invoices/payments with the Finance Director and Accounts Department.
The position is based at the company’s offices in Mayfair, working five days a week.
Compensation:
The salary range is approximately £100K - £150K plus commission.
