Ward Administration Support Officer – NHS Lanarkshire
Location: Cleland Hospital
Contract type: Permanent | Part Time | 25 hours per week. Salary pro-rata.
Working pattern: Monday to Friday.
Overview
As a Ward Administration Support Officer you will provide efficient and effective administrative/clerical support to a receiving unit to ensure the smooth running of the department and to release Clinical staff to perform Clinical duties.
Responsibilities
* Provide administrative/clerical support to the ward to support smooth running of the department and enable clinical staff to perform clinical duties.
What we’ll need you to bring
* Proficient IT skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
* Excellent organisation skills and ability to prioritise and work on own initiative.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Excellent time management skills.
* Ability to work under pressure.
* Post holder should possess or be prepared to work towards ECDL.
* Appropriate level of training in Management of Aggression.
Note: If a driving licence is required for the role, this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.
Nice to have
* Demonstrable experience in an administrative/clerical role.
* Knowledge of office procedures.
* Knowledge of NHS systems.
* Good keyboard skills.
* Awareness of Data Protection Act.

This role will be based in Cleland Hospital. Working pattern: Monday to Friday.
