About the role
Join the Airbus Technical Data organisation, a transnational team committed to supporting our worldwide customers and keeping their fleets flying safely and efficiently. We are responsible for producing and delivering all Line maintenance products and assisting customers with any issues that arise during maintenance operations. The Fuel & Landing Gear Systems Team handles the Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA) for ATA 28 (Fuel) and ATA 32 (Landing Gear) across all Airbus programs. We capture design changes to ensure that maintenance manuals reflect the exact configuration of each delivered aircraft. We also support customers throughout the aircraft lifecycle by providing essential technical data and guidance for maintenance operations.
Your responsibilities
* Creating and providing key technical data maintenance manuals, including the Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM), Troubleshooting Manual (TSM), and Illustrated Parts Catalogue (IPC).
* Identify in-service issues; define prioritization and solution shaping; feasibility analysis and risk assessment; configuration management; continuous improvement initiatives; knowledge capture; quality and problem-solving; exploring new tools and ways of working.
* Work on technical data for new aircraft off the production line and those already in service; collaborate with teams in France, Germany, Spain, and India.
* Own and drive smaller projects from concept to completion; participate in an early careers community to support professional development.
Requirements
* Undergraduates only. It is mandatory to be an undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement; please inform your graduation date on your application.
* Studying towards a degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or equivalent.
* Interest in the topics and industry; knowledge in computation; awareness of programming languages; willingness to run scripts.
* Inquisitive and analytical mindset with good problem-solving skills.
* Willingness to learn and develop various skills (technical, project management, communication, reporting, rigor).
* Dynamic, proactive, and positive mindset; good teamwork and organizational skills.
Security and compliance
SECURITY CLEARANCE: You will be subject to a BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) check. You may also need UK SC-level Security Clearance or Export Control, depending on the role.
