Responsibilities
• Develop and manage APQP plans for each new project and prioritize tasks to ensure a high‑quality product that meets customer expectations.
• Implement supplier PPAP approvals.
• Embed design for Six Sigma, critical‑to‑quality elements and control plan.
• Ensure engineering configuration management and tolerance stacking are clearly defined.
• Liaise with internal and external customers to lead and support problem investigation and resolution, presenting findings in 8D format and providing status updates on quality deliverables and plans.
• Manage and oversee the non‑conformity database, embed and coach best‑practice problem resolution.
• Carry out internal audits against relevant standards such as AS9100.
• Own non‑conformity management and advanced quality processes.
• Champion, coach and lead continuous improvement activities throughout the business globally.
Qualifications
* Excellent experience in APQP across automotive, aerospace, medical devices or semiconductor/electronics.
* Degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electronics, Mechatronics, etc.) or equivalent.
* Expertise in core tools such as DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, PPAP, SPC.
* Trained internal auditor for AS9100 minimum.
* Expert in root cause analysis – skilled in 5‑whys, Ishikawa, cause‑and‑effect diagrams.
* Charted Engineer or working toward Chartered Engineer status.
* Able to manage and prioritize conflicting tasks and demanding workloads with cross‑functional, global engineering teams and clients.
* Exceptional communication, negotiation and decision‑making skills to coach, lead and drive quality improvement across the business.
