We are seeking a dedicated Claims Handler to work alongside an experienced team, managing and resolving claims for our reputable clients. This role offers the opportunity to work in a supportive environment where you can develop your skills and contribute to the success of our clients. How you'll make an impact Review and record claims on our in-house system, ensuring compliance with product standards, and verify policy coverage Conduct liability enquiries using various methods such as phone, correspondence, or field visits, in line with the Adjuster’s Manual Evaluate claim quantum by gathering relevant evidence and adjust reserves according to Gallagher Bassett’s realistic reserving philosophy Clearly communicate decisions on liability and negotiate settlements within your authority level Respond promptly and courteously to all written and phone enquiries Regularly review claims using the diary system to maintain accurate reserves and ensure timely closure Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by providing friendly and efficient service Collaborate with solicitors to ensure effective case management Assist with general office administration to ensure smooth operations About You Experience in casualty claims, including Employers Liability (EL) and Public Liability (PL) would be advantageous but not essential Ability to verify and analyse coverage of adjuster level claims with moderate supervision Strong investigative skills to establish facts and support claims strategy Proficiency in determining liability and compensability on adjuster level claims Understanding of the litigation process and ability to manage claims proactively Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present claims confidently Strong relationship-building skills with clients, carriers, and brokers Compensation and benefits On top of a competitive salary, great teams and exciting career opportunities, we also offer a wide range of benefits.
