Founding Business Development Manager
Greenmile Networks | London (Southwark) | Full-Time, Permanent £35,000 - £40,000 base + uncapped commission OTE: £60,000+ (Year 1) | £80,000+ (Year 2) | £100,000+ (Year 3)
The Opportunity
This is Greenmile’s first dedicated sales hire. There is no existing pipeline to pick up; you will be starting from scratch, building a client base, and shaping the commercial future of a sustainable logistics leader.
Who We Are
Greenmile Networks is a London logistics provider operating from our Southwark hub. We provide same-day courier services using a zero-emission e-cargo fleet, national parcel and freight distribution through 40+ carrier partners, and international shipping. As part of the Diamond Logistics network, we provide the infrastructure of a national powerhouse with the agility of a local specialist.
The Role
You will be responsible for winning new business across London and the South East. The full sales cycle sits with you: from cold prospecting and running discovery meetings to building complex commercial proposals and closing contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
· Prospecting via cold calls, LinkedIn, and face-to-face networking.
· Calculating and presenting commercial proposals involving carrier rates and volumetrics.
· Negotiating terms and closing high-value B2B contracts.
· Managing your pipeline via HubSpot and onboarding new clients personally.
· Working directly with the Founder to refine our sales strategy.
What We Are Looking For (Mandatory)
This is a technical sales role. To hit the ground running, the following experience is essential:
· Industry Experience: Minimum 3+ years of B2B sales experience specifically within Logistics, Courier, Freight, or Parcel Distribution.
· Technical Proficiency: You must have a working knowledge of volumetrics, carrier rate structures, pallet distribution, and storage billing. We are looking for a candidate who can price a multi-carrier solution on day one without training on industry fundamentals.
· Pipeline Generation: A proven track record of generating your own leads and closing deals from scratch.
· Commercial Acumen: Ability to hold high-level conversations with Operations Directors and Finance Leads regarding cost-per-consignment and supply chain efficiency.
· Self-Starter: You must be comfortable working autonomously in a "Founding" role where you set the pace.
