Interviews: Week commencing 11th May 2026 At MSV Housing we’re committed to making sure our customers have good quality safe homes and our Health and Safety Assistant is key to making this happen. We’re looking for a proactive and organised Health & Safety Assistant to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, keeping things organised and supporting the delivery of effective health and safety systems across the organisation. Working closely with the Health & Safety Manager and Assistant Advisor, you’ll help coordinate a wide range of activities — from risk assessments and audits to training, incidents and compliance systems — playing an important part in maintaining a positive safety culture across MSV. What you’ll be doing; Managing and monitoring the Health & Safety inbox, ensuring queries and actions are logged, allocated and followed through Supporting the coordination of audits, inspections and risk assessments, ensuring records are accurate and up to date Tracking accidents, incidents and near misses, and supporting investigation follow-ups and RIDDOR processes Coordinating Health & Safety training and maintaining accurate training records Supporting the administration of systems such as lone working, DSE and other H&S platforms Monitoring PPE, first aid and fire safety arrangements across the organisation Liaising with managers to support the implementation of Health & Safety processes and requirements Assisting in the preparation of Health & Safety performance reports and data Supporting document control, record keeping and updates to internal systems (e.g. intranet) Taking minutes at meetings and supporting general team administration This role offers the opportunity to be involved in a wide range of Health & Safety activities and play a key part in keeping our systems and processes running effectively. What we are looking for; A good standard of education (minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent) Experience of supporting a team with administrative tasks Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities Ability to work proactively and use your own initiative Confident using IT systems and managing data and records Excellent attention to detail A collaborative and supportive approach It would be great (but not essential) if you also have: Experience working in a health and safety or compliance environment An interest in developing a career in health and safety We offer a range of great benefits including: 33 days holiday per year plus bank holidays, and a holiday a buy scheme.
