At SOURCE at the Gilpin, excellence is not just expected - it’s celebrated. We’re seeking a Sommelier with exceptional wine knowledge, refined service skills, and a passion for pairing world-class wines with unforgettable cuisine. Led by Executive Head Chef Ollie Bridgwater (formerly of The Fat Duck), SOURCE at the Gilpin offers a Michelin-starred, 4 AA Rosette experience rooted in exquisite produce, bold flavours, and precise execution.
🌟 Your Role as Sommelier:
1. Curates and manages an award-winning wine list, alongside the Senior Sommelier.
2. Guides guests through thoughtful, personalised wine pairings.
3. Collaborates closely with chefs to enhance the tasting experience.
4. Trains and inspires the front-of-house team in wine service and knowledge.
5. Maintains cellar inventory and supplier relationships with precision.
6. Contributes to a culture of excellence, learning, and genuine care.
7. Uphold the highest standards of etiquette, presentation, and professionalism.
🍇 What You Bring:
8. WSET Level 2 or equivalent certification (level 3 preferred).
9. Experience in Michelin-starred or fine dining environments.
10. Deep understanding of global wine regions, vintages, and trends.
11. A calm, charismatic presence and a genuine love for hospitality.
12. Strong communication and organisational skills.
13. A desire to grow within a forward-thinking, modern restaurant built around using local produce with a twist.

Salary: from £29,250 to £31,005
Gratuities are allocated on a points basis, depending on development tiers. Although variable, average levels are projected as being from £370 to £550 per month.
