This is an opportunity for an experienced editor to join a publication looking to influence government figures focused on the UK’s fiscal policy-making. Their reporting and data are used by many renowned retail banks and building societies in the UK, such as the Bank of England, Financial Conduct Authority, Financial Ombudsman Service, HM Treasury, Prudential Regulatory Authority, and UK Finance.
They are seeking an experienced Editor to drive the company forward at a pivotal time for UK monetary policy. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced financial journalist to shape a key industry publication.
As an Editor, you will set content themes, write and commission articles, and coordinate a collaborative team to deliver high-quality, insightful coverage, bringing your experience in researching and interpreting historical financial data. You will also play a leading role networking with industry experts as well as Whitehall and political actors.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Coordinate editorial, design, and production teams
* Maintain and expand industry contacts, identifying and commissioning high-quality contributors
* Lead monthly editorial meetings and set content direction
* Research, write, and produce original content
Key Requirements include:
* Significant experience as a financial journalist, preferably covering public finance
* Or significant experience in financial policy within government or The Bank of England
You will be required to work 1 day a month in their offices in Norwich, easily accessible from London.
