Occupational Therapy Assistant – Intermediate Care Team

Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a hard‑working and enthusiastic professional to join our Intermediate Care Team in Blantyre. In this role, you will work with people discharged from hospital who need further reablement and recovery. You may be required to visit homes to support discharge and assess ongoing needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct assessments to determine the functional needs of each client.
* Gather, select and analyse information to support assessment decisions.
* Identify underlying causes of functional difficulties.
* Provide equipment and/or adaptations as direct solutions or refer to statutory or voluntary services.
* Work autonomously and meet tight timescales, demonstrating responsibility for your own learning needs.
Qualifications
* HNC in Occupational Therapy Support, or willingness to work towards this qualification.
* Experience of working in an intermediate care or rehabilitation setting is an advantage.
* Strong organisational and communication skills.
Salary
£21,855 – £22,479 per annum (based on full‑time equivalent).
