JOB- Mechanical Design Engineer / Development Engineer
LOCATION- East Sussex
TERM- Permanent
SALARY- £25,000 - £31,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
My client design and manufacture a variety of plastic products and they are looking to take on a Mechanical Design Engineer on a permanent basis in the East Sussex area.
The Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
* HNC / HND / Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering
* New Graduate’s will also be considered
* Any placement / experience in the engineering sector in a similar design role working hands on with prototypes would be desirable but not essential
* Good 3D CAD knowledge ideal (SolidWorks preferable)
* Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
* Have good communication skills both verbal and written
* Good proficiency with using Microsoft Office
The Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve:
1. Working hands on within the Engineering team
2. Supporting new products into the production process
3. Assisting Design Engineers with product development
4. Creating product BOM’s
