Salary: Curriculum Lead Grade, Spine Points 15 – 18, Actual Salary: £29,484.86 - £32,334.81 (FTE £49,370.00 - £54,142.00) per annum inclusive of London Weighting Allowance

Location: Copthall House 9 The Pavement, Grove Road Sutton, Surrey, SM1 1DA

Working Pattern: 3 days per week, 39 working weeks

Orchard Hill College is an Outstanding Specialist College (Ofsted, April 2025) offering life-changing learning opportunities to young people and adults with a range of special education needs and/or disabilities. We operate vibrant community-based College Centres across London and Surrey, where committed specialist teams deliver a variety of programmes designed to meet the diverse needs of our students.

Students who study with us have a wide range of needs including profound and multiple learning disabilities, communication and behavioural difficulties and specific medical needs. All students are individual, and their learning programme is designed to support and empower them to achieve their aspirations and goals, whilst developing skills to become more independent members of their community.

We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as the Head of Qualifications. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual passionate about education and making a real difference in the lives of our students.’

Key Responsibilities:

•Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the college’s qualifications offer for (Entry Level 1 to Level 3).

•Ensure full compliance with awarding body regulations and the college’s internal quality processes.

•Ensure appropriate exam access arrangements and reasonable adjustments for learners with additional needs.

•Deliver high-quality lessons that engage and challenge students across all ability levels.

•Provide CPD, coaching, and training on qualification requirements and inclusive assessment practice.

•Lead, manage, and coordinate the Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) team across all qualification areas.

•Produce reports for senior leaders on outcomes, trends, and performance.

Key Requirements:

•Experience managing Entry Level to Level 2 qualifications.

•Strong understanding of SEN, inclusive practice, and differentiated assessment methods.

•Proven leadership and staff management experience.

•Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills.
