Job Description: Negotiator Location: Greater Belfast (Hybrid) Department: Financial Services - Legal Documentation Overview We're exclusively partnering with a highly respected alternative legal services provider to recruit an experienced negotiator for their growing Greater Belfast team. This is an exciting opportunity for professionals with at least 1 year of relevant experience to progress their legal or financial services career, working directly with global clients on high-value trading documentation. You'll be part of a dynamic, specialist team delivering expert negotiation services for Tier-1 financial institutions, with continued professional development and clear progression pathways. Key Responsibilities Contract Negotiation: Independently negotiate and draft trading agreements, including ISDA Master Agreements, repurchase agreements, and other capital markets documentation. Regulatory Alignment: Ensure all agreements comply with financial regulations. Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with global clients and counterparties to align documentation and resolve legal or operational queries. Risk Identification: Flag and address key legal and commercial risks throughout the negotiation process. Workflow Management: Maintain accurate records and contribute to knowledge sharing within the wider team. Essential Skills and Qualifications Minimum of 1 year's experience in a legal or financial documentation role. Demonstrable experience working with ISDA, MSFTA, MRA, and GMRA documentation. Strong understanding of contract negotiation principles, ideally within capital markets or financial services. Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong client relationships. Detail-oriented, with a structured and proactive approach to work. A degree in Law, Finance, STEM, or similar analytical discipline. Desirable Attributes Exposure to legal or compliance functions within financial institutions or legal service providers. Familiarity with market documentation platforms and legal technology tools.
