XRC Engineering is looking for a senior‑level CNC Programmer to lead our machining operations. This is a key hands‑on role for an experienced programmer with strong Fusion 360 CAM skills, extensive shop‑floor experience, and the ability to guide and develop junior machinists. You'll be working across 5‑axis, 4‑axis, and 3‑axis Haas mills, as well as a 2‑axis lathe, producing complex parts for a range of industries.
Type: Full‑time, permanent, on‑site
What we're looking for:
* Minimum 5 years’ experience programming with Fusion 360 CAM
* Minimum 10 years’ hands‑on machining experience (mills and lathes)
* Strong understanding of setup, tooling selection, workholding, and optimisation
* Confidence estimating work time and resources for small batch and prototype jobs
* Comfortable leading a small team, setting the standard, and helping others grow
* Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills
Machines you'll work on:
* Haas VF series (3- and 4‑axis)
* Haas ST lathe (2‑axis)
Key responsibilities:
* Program jobs using Fusion 360, working from 3D models and drawings
* Set up and run CNC mills and lathes, producing one‑offs and small batches
* Estimate runtimes and support quoting with realistic programming and machining expectations
* Supervise and support junior team members on setups and best practices
* Maintain quality standards and contribute to process improvements
