Overview
The Urgent Emergency Care (UEC) team is looking for talented people to join the Emergency Department at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, King’s Lynn. We are seeking dynamic, forward-thinking professionals who put the patient at the heart of everything they do and are excited by a fast-paced, evolving environment. This opportunity is suitable for registered adult nurses and paramedics who are committed to compassionate, high-quality emergency care and ongoing training and education.
The Trust is implementing significant digital transformation, including a new electronic patient record (EPR) from 2026 to improve safety and joined-up care. The hospital provides a comprehensive range of services across west and north Norfolk, North Cambs and South Lincs, with a supportive, community-focused culture.
Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality patient care within the Emergency Department, including clinical assessment, monitoring and escalation as needed.
* Collaborate with a multi-professional team to develop and improve emergency care pathways.
* Contribute to the training and education of staff and participate in quality improvement activities.
* Engage with patients and families with compassion and effective communication in challenging situations.
* Attend in-person interviews as part of the shortlisting process (online interviews are not available for this vacancy).
Qualifications and Experience
* Registered Nurse with full NMC registration in the UK. If you are internationally trained and have not passed the OSCE, you will not be considered for this role.
* Emergency Department experience is required and should be demonstrated on a regular basis.
