Health and Safety Manager role at EGGER UK

Responsibilities
* Be an ambassador for Timberpak bringing professionalism, energy, and enthusiasm every day.
* Engage with colleagues to build a strong safety culture and lead by example.
* Provide clear, practical advice on all aspects of health and safety management.
* Investigate incidents thoroughly, including serious cases and RIDDOR events, ensuring lessons are learned.
* Develop risk assessments, COSHH assessments, and work instructions.
* Support behavioural safety programmes and deliver engaging training sessions.
* Monitor accident trends, interpret data, and share insights to drive improvement.
* Liaise with statutory bodies (HSE, Fire & Rescue, Local Authorities) and support ISO 45001 certification.
* Travel to other Timberpak and EGGER sites as needed (with occasional overnight stays).
Qualifications
* NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent). Strong candidates with a NEBOSH National Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety will also be considered.
* Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation.
* Excellent communication skills – you can influence and build trust at all levels.
* Ability to plan, prioritise, and adapt in a fast‑paced environment.
* A collaborative mindset and confidence to share ideas.
* Full UK driving licence as travel to the other Timberpak locations is a requirement.
* Additional qualifications like Fire Safety or ISO auditing are a bonus, but not essential.
