RECEPTIONIST - NORTHGATE SURGERY, PONTEFRACT
WORK PATTERN:
MONDAY - FRIDAY BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 8AM-6:45PM
We are looking for a experienced Receptionist to join our team. This is a busy Practice and you will be very involved in patient care, from organising appointments, using care navigation techniques (full training given), working closely with our clinical triage team, assisting on front of house, dealing with queries, organising paperwork for the clinical team, ringing patients to book in to specialist clinics, handling the movement of patient records, scanning and summarising (training given). The role is for 37 hours a week. However, flexibility is essential as you will also be expected to cover for holidays and sickness. Pay rate is competitive and you will receive 6 weeks holiday plus bank holiday. Previous experience as a Receptionist in General Practice or another busy reception environment is essential.
Main duties of the job
* Making appointments for patients
* Care Navigate to other services if appropriate
* Deal with online services such as Patchs, Emails and GP Billing
* Handling queries and requests regarding prescriptions
* Register new patients and temporary residents
* Ensure outstanding queries are explained and handed over to next shift, as necessary
* Collect payments from patients for non-NHS services

* 18.Read coding and scanning of daily post
* 19.Assisting with insurance paperwork
* 20.Assisting with QOF work and any other initiative run by the Practice
* 21.Input and extract information from Practice computer system
* 22.Observe health and safety guidelines at all times
* 23.General housekeeping (e.g. keeping reception and waiting areas tidy)

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Good standard of general education
* NVQ level 2 in Customer Care
Experience
* Experience of working with the general public
* Experience of supervisory reception work
* Experience of working within General Practice
* Experience of SystmOne
