Overview
Mulberry Park Educate Together Primary Academy is a vibrant, welcoming one form entry primary school in the Mulberry Park community in Combe Down. Since opening in 2018, we have grown into a nurturing, inclusive school where relationships, connection and compassion sit at the heart of everything we do. Our children come from diverse backgrounds, and we have a higher than average proportion of pupils with SEND and SEMH needs. Approximately 15% of our children have EHCPs.
Role
We are seeking an experienced, calm, organised and enthusiastic Administrator to join our front‑office team and help ensure the smooth running of our busy school. As our Administrator, you will play a vital role in the daily operations of the school, supporting with communication, admissions, attendance, safeguarding checks, recruitment and office organisation. You will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team and the Admin Assistant and also receive support from the Trust Central Team. This is a fast‑paced role that requires warmth, accuracy and professionalism in every interaction.
Responsibilities
* Provide administrative support for daily school operations, including communication, admissions, attendance, safeguarding checks and office organisation.
* Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team, Admin Assistant and Trust Central Team.
* Maintain accuracy and professionalism in all interactions and tasks.
* Support with day-to-day school life, including school lunchtimes.
* Ensure readiness to adapt to varying daily demands in a busy school environment.
* Assist with medical needs and first aid as required and undertake first aid training.
Qualifications and Attributes
* Experience in a school environment or similar setting.
* Ability to stay calm under pressure and manage a busy workload with confidence.
* Strong multi‑tasking and attention to detail.
* Warm, professional communication, even in challenging situations.
* Proficiency across administrative systems and processes.
* Comfort around young children and willingness to be part of a school community.
* Empathy, patience and adaptability, particularly where children have additional needs or have experienced trauma.
* Value an approach rooted in relationships, understanding and care, rather than punitive responses.
* Willingness to undertake first aid training and support with children’s medical needs as part of the role.
Desirable
* Knowledge of Arbor MIS or similar.
* Willingness to contribute to the continued development of the school.

Contract and salary
The role is full time, term time only plus one additional week in the school holidays. Hours are 8.15 to 15.45 daily. The grade is NJC17, currently £31,022 pro rata, with the actual salary for these hours £26,255 per annum.
