Thaxted Surgery are excited to offer an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated salaried GP to join our well-established, high achieving practice as soon as possible. Newly qualified (under the ARRS) or experienced applicants welcome. No extended hours or weekend working. We are looking for 4 sessions per week, working days and times can be flexible but Friday all day is essential. Working as part of our multidisciplinary team, you will have the opportunity to support and care for a diverse patient group. Main responsibilities include: A mix of face to face and telephone consultations and associated administrative work, in addition to; Occasional home visits (we have a Home Visiting paramedic employed 4 days a week but some visits require a GP to attend) Own referrals and admin (we have a GP assistant to help with admin) Filing lab results Signing prescriptions Attending and contributing to clinical meetings and audits Supporting training for students and GP trainees About the Candidate All applicants should have the following qualifications: Essential: Fully qualified GP with GMC registration Annual appraisal and revalidation (when appropriate) Be on the NHSE medical performers list MRCGP qualification (or equivalent). If you are approaching CCT we are happy for applications and final offers will be subject to satisfactory CCT and MRCGP. Right to work in the UK and eligibility to practice independently. A Newly Qualified GP having obtained your Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in General Practice within the last two years, verifying completion of the postgraduate training required to practice independently. Commitment to providing high-quality patient care Strong communication and IT skills.
