About The Role London Stadium are looking for a Deputy Safety Officer to join the Safety team and to oversee the safety and security planning and delivery for all allocated events at London Stadium. In this role you will: Support the Safety Officer in the planning, coordination and safe delivery of football and non-football events at London Stadium. The role focuses on pre-event safety planning, regulatory compliance, inter-agency coordination, and operational readiness to ensure events are delivered safely, legally, and in line with the stadium’s Safety Certificate and Venue Operations Manual. Key Responsibilities Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Lead or support on the development of the Stadium Management Plans (SMPs) for any allocated football fixtures or alternative events. Produce and review Event Specific Risk Assessments (ESRAs) and event specific documentation. Chair or contribute to planning meetings for allocated events. Coordinate event readiness through structured planning timelines, checklists and approvals. Act as a Deputy Safety Officer for all allocated events. Assist with audits, inspections and postevent reporting and incident investigation. Contribute to debriefs, lessonslearned reviews and continuous improvement of safety planning and delivery. Work closely with internal teams to support with the planning and delivery of allocated events. Coordinate with external partners including police, event owners and local stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of crowd safety and event risk management and excellent planning, organisational and documentation skills.
