New Job Alert – Operations Manager – Residential Services (Higher Education)
I’m working with a world-renowned London university that’s hiring an Operations Manager to oversee its newest student residence, Robeson House, opening Summer 2025. This is a key front-line leadership role focused on delivering an exceptional residential experience and managing a high-performing front-of-house team.
MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE:
* Leading teams in customer-facing, hospitality, or residential settings
* Delivering excellent service, managing KPIs and service levels
* Experience using a Property Management System
* Confident with Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint)
* Managing rotas, reception services, and operational priorities
* Handling complaints, solving day-to-day issues, and using initiative during emergencies
* Adhering to GDPR, H&S, and emergency procedures (e.g., fire safety, first aid)
ESSENTIALS:
* Confident communicator and collaborative team player
* Strong organisational and rota planning skills
* Calm under pressure, with excellent problem-solving ability
* Committed to delivering excellent service and student experience
* Aware of data protection (GDPR), safeguarding, and diversity policies
* Willingness to support student wellbeing and take on Mental Health First Aid training
Location: Central London / On-site
Salary: £36,008 – £43,854 (depending on experience)
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Start Date: ASAP / Pre-opening phase
