Overview
Quality Manager, Business Development role at Newlon Housing Trust. This position focuses on quality control during the design and construction of capital building work, from pre-contract through handover and the defects rectification period.
Responsibilities
* Carry out on-site inspections and provide regular quality reports.
* Identify areas for improvement and provide vital feedback to ensure the highest standards are maintained.
* Ensure Newlon’s assets are maintained to reduce risk and maximise resident satisfaction.
* Scrutinise drawings and specifications for errors and omissions, auditing them to resolve design issues efficiently.
* Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure designs are low maintenance and cost-effective with future maintenance and service charges in mind.
Qualifications
* Experience in a similar role (Quality Manager, Site Inspector, Clerk of Works or defects-based role), preferably within the housing sector.
* Experience auditing design and construction information; ability to inspect construction projects at all stages.
* Familiarity with current building practice and regulations; practical knowledge of building services installations and health and safety requirements.
* Understanding of housing development constraints, particularly at handover and defects stages.
* Ideally membership of a relevant industry body.

* Salary: £53,671 per annum plus eligibility to earn up to 5% Performance Related Bonus
* Contract: Full-time, permanent
