Description
The Anglian Water Strategic Pipeline Alliance (SPA) project currently involves the planning, design and construction of circa 320km of new strategic, large diameter, clean water interconnector pipelines and associated infrastructure across Anglian Water's region. The SPA Alliance is also taking on responsibility for the future interconnector pipelines, a further 260km of strategic interconnector pipelines and associated infrastructure.
This role will be hybrid and require attendance at the Peterborough office every couple of weeks, or for a block period of 3-4 days a month

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the standardisation of design and uphold consistently high standards of quality control
* Ensure all design outputs are buildable, safe to install, and fully compliant with client, regulatory, and industry standards
* Communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders on technical matters
* Provide development, guidance, and mentorship to civil engineers at varying career stages
* Support construction & procurement teams in delivering complex infrastructure projects by guiding civil engineers through Technical Query responses and providing expert advice on challenging engineering issues during the delivery phase.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
* Extensive experience within the water industry, construction, and design-and-build environments
* A proven track record of technical leadership on complex, major projects
* Experience working successfully within multidisciplinary design teams, including delivering work through offshore teams
* Extensive experience in technical design of large diameter transfer pipelines, including steel, ductile iron and polyethylene materials
* Experienced in a design and build environment
* Extensive experience of design elements typically associated with a Non-Infrastructure site. This would include drainage and highway design etc.
* Experience of relevant H&S standards and CDM regulations
* Strong communication, collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
* Good IT skills.

Qualifications
Essential
* Hold professional qualifications such as Chartership or Incorporated Status
* Educational experience relevant to their engineering discipline, ideally degree qualified to a 2:1 or better
* Secondary level education, such as A levels, BTEC, T levels etc
* Safety passport or similar
* Civil Engineering Degree
