We are seeking an experienced and driven Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team on a flagship large-scale residential development. This role offers the opportunity to work on a high-value, multi-phase housing scheme, delivering critical cost management functions across all project stages, with a specific emphasis on groundworks and infrastructure packages. Key Responsibilities: * Assist in the preparation, submission, and agreement of interim valuations and final accounts. * Manage and monitor subcontractor accounts and payments. * Provide commercial input to project programming and reporting. * Work closely with the Senior QS and site teams to manage project costs and risks. * Procure and manage subcontract packages, particularly in groundworks and civils. * Prepare cost plans, tender documentation, and contribute to contract negotiations. * Conduct site visits to verify works completed and assess progress. * Support forecasting and reporting of cash flow, cost, and value reconciliations. * Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations and company procedures. Requirements: * Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline (or equivalent experience). * Minimum 3–5 years of post-graduate experience, ideally within residential or civil engineering sectors. * Strong understanding of groundworks and early-stage construction processes. * Experience with JCT and/or NEC forms of contract. * Proficient in relevant QS software (e.g., COINS, Causeway, Excel). * Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills. * Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Desirable: * Previous experience on large housing developments or mixed-use schemes. * Working knowledge of cost management from pre-construction through to final account
