Solar Designer
Responsibilities:
Design solar PV systems for a mix of high-end residential properties and social housing schemes.
Create accurate technical drawings and specifications for installation teams and clients.
Coordinate with project managers, suppliers, and installation teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
Provide technical input during client discussions and project planning.
Stay updated on current regulations, technologies, and design best practices in solar.
Contribute to the development of future renewable energy offerings, including heat pumps.
Support internal knowledge sharing as the business expands into wider renewable services.Solar Designer
Requirements:
Proven experience in solar PV system design – residential or commercial.
Solid understanding of solar design tools and software (e.g. PV*Sol, PVsyst, SketchUp, AutoCAD).
Familiarity with UK building regulations and electrical standards relevant to solar installations.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with clients and internal teams.
Ability to manage design deadlines and juggle multiple live projects.
