Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the hospitality industry, with experience in bar and restaurant work would be beneficial. This role requires effective leadership skills and the ability to manage a team while ensuring exceptional customer service and adherence to food safety standards.
Duties
* Assist the Manager in overseeing daily operations of the establishment, ensuring smooth service and high standards of quality.
* Supervise staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow and excellent customer experiences.
* Engage in food preparation and cooking, maintaining high culinary standards and adhering to food safety regulations.
* Manage inventory levels, placing orders as necessary to ensure sufficient stock for food production.
* Help develop and run a full events calendar
* Train new employees in restaurant procedures, including serving techniques, food safety practices, and customer service excellence.
* Foster a positive work environment through effective team management and leadership practices.
* Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly, ensuring satisfaction with their dining experience.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen areas, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality or restaurant industry is essential.
* Strong culinary skills with experience in food preparation and cooking; knowledge of food safety practices is highly desirable.
* Proven track record of team management, demonstrating leadership abilities that inspire staff performance.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service excellence.
* Experience in kitchen operations or barista roles is an advantage.
