Fire & Security Minor Works Engineer, London
Daniel Owen is currently working with one of the nationwide leading Fire & Security groups in the UK. A specialist business within our client's group is looking to grow their team with an experienced Fire & Security Minor Works Engineer to work across London, assisting with fire and security engineering works.
Our Minor Works Engineers
The position involves working closely with the Minor Works / Installations Team on small projects from inception to completion, including CCTV, Access Control, Intruder, and Fire Alarm Systems. The successful engineer will contribute to the team, delivering world-class customer service and being rewarded for it.
Liaise with the Lead Engineer on troublesome sites, including critical issues.
Work with subcontractors and on-site clients.
Maintain Fire & Security Systems as required in your region.
Communicate effectively with customers and schedulers for site visits.
Utilize customer portals as directed by your Lead Engineer.
Support Service Engineers on jobs and work occasionally outside your designated postcode.
Plan and respond to routine and reactive call-outs.
Maintain stock levels with support from the Stores team.
Attend training sessions and team meetings as required.
Identify personal training needs to improve customer service.

CCTV: Hikvision, Dahua, Bosch, Generic Analogue Systems
Access Control: Paxton, PAC, Salto
Candidate Requirements
Good knowledge of Fire and Security Systems.
Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role.
Technical background in electrical/electronic industry.
Experience with front-line customer contact preferred.
Knowledge of industry standards and ability to commission multi-disciplined systems.
Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently.
Professional, well-presented, and computer literate.
Full UK Driving Licence.
