Purpose of the Role As an HS&E Advisor, you will support the Framework HS&E Manager in delivering excellence in health, safety and environmental performance across our Environment business. You will play a key role in implementing and maintaining the HS&E strategy and systems across multiple projects, ensuring operational delivery meets exemplary standards of safety, health and environmental compliance. This role supports continual improvement in HS&E culture and performance through proactive engagement, assurance, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Support the implementation of the HS&E strategy and drive continual improvement across the framework. Foster an inclusive, transparent, and collaborative environment that strengthens our HS&E culture and behaviours. Promote a positive safety culture aligned with our “Challenging Beliefs, Affecting Behaviours” programme. Implement and maintain the HS&E management system, ensuring alignment with client and business requirements. Provide technical guidance to operational and site management teams on HS&E matters. Engage with clients, regulators, supply chain partners and internal stakeholders to ensure best practice across all phases of the project lifecycle. Conduct inspections, audits, and reviews to monitor compliance and performance, recording outcomes and supporting management actions. Support or lead incident investigations, identifying root causes and ensuring timely close-out through the M2i system. Deliver HS&E training, awareness sessions, and best practice guidance to operational teams. Analyse HS&E data, report on performance metrics and contribute to strategic reviews and improvement plans. Report HS&E concerns to the Framework HS&E Manager and collaborate on appropriate interventions. About You You will be an enthusiastic and proactive HS&E professional, passionate about creating a positive safety culture and supporting continuous improvement. Essential: Relevant HS&E experience in a similar industry (construction, infrastructure, or water). NEBOSH Construction or General Certificate, or currently working towards one. Knowledge of HS&E management systems, risk management, and legal frameworks. Understanding of environmental standards and sustainability principles within the project lifecycle. Excellent communication and influencing skills with the ability to engage confidently at all levels. Proficient in data analysis and the use of Microsoft Office suite. Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between projects and offices. Desirable: Member of IOSH or IIRSM (TechIOSH minimum, CMIOSH preferred or working towards).
