Maintenance Engineer Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off (days & nights) We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to help deliver a safe, reliable and efficient maintenance service across a large-scale automated handling environment. You’ll play a key role in ensuring critical equipment operates smoothly, supporting both planned and reactive engineering activities. Key Responsibilities * Carry out mechanical, electrical and controls maintenance on a range of automated handling assets, including conveyors, carousels, curve belts, vertical-sortation equipment, ploughs and automatic tag readers. * Respond to faults, undertake corrective actions and complete scheduled preventative tasks to minimise downtime. * Maintain clear communication with Engineering, Operations and other stakeholders, following agreed escalation processes. * Apply strong health & safety awareness in all tasks, ensuring procedures and safe systems of work are followed. * Record maintenance activities within the CMMS, producing accurate reports to support performance analysis and fault investigations. * Identify improvement opportunities and contribute to ongoing optimisation initiatives. * Represent the engineering function in cross-departmental working groups when required. * Manage spare parts inventory and support workshop-based engineering tasks. * Pa...
